How is the Spiritual Journey?

There is lots of talk about spirituality, about the unfolding of the divine within, but the question is what are you really doing in that sense? Is your heart burning for the ultimate realization? Does your life turns around that purpose? Do you daily apply yourself to the Divine quest? Or have your Sadhana become mechanical? Repetition of exercises? Just sitting in a specific time with a specific technique? Did you learn a few things and build up a new system that now you are too busy promoting , forgetting the most important? How is your daily practice? How is your inner peace? How is love in your life? Are you a source of peace and love in others life? How is your internal contact? Are you really dedicate to your highest purpose, or did you got lost somewhere? If your Soul doesn't cry every day for That realization, it means you have just changed one illusion for another illusion, more spiritual but still an illusion, and for you spirituality Will be nothing more than beautiful words, nice smiles, and relaxation moments, group gatherings, nice weekends retreats on the beach, workshops, etc. Suffering and emptiness will follow you like a shadow, sooner or later, from time to time, and it will even be considered normal! Is spirituality about therapy? Is it about having a relaxed body and a relaxed mind to face life and struggle for sense pleasures! Are you in the inner journey towards silence, peace, and bliss? Whatever is happening inside, and if you want to know, just put the question to yourself, and if by reading this lines the answer didn't come already has a feeling or a thought, then give it a little time and the answer will come. How are you using your time?
Forget all the talk from the personality and go within, go to the Source! Don't be contended with day dreaming, make it happen for you! You are the Infinite Being, wake up from that dream!

Peacefully,
Satyavan

The Process of Meditation

Meditation is the natural state of inner serenity, of communion with the whole, and of Biss. It is our true nature, our natural state! And meditation is the journey back to that inner Peace.
Nowadays many people are awakening to the need of bringing meditation into their lives, the levels of noise and agitation in their daily life became so strong, that solutions must be found. Here begins a long journey back to the Self. Whosoever begins to meditate, Realizes that it is difficult to maintain regularity, it is difficult to meditate for more than 20 or 30 minutes, and they just can’t understand why, and invariably they give up the practice, or keep the practice very superficial, bringing a just few benefits in to their lives. Patanjali, when he structured the Yogic Path, he began by the observance of Yama (ethical principles - non-violence, truth, integrity, restraint, and generosity) and Niyama (the practice of purity, contentment, self-purification, Self-knowledge, Devotion and Surrender to the Divine), then, after this being practiced, he moved to the practice of asanas, pranayamas, then pratyahara, and after this came Dharana (concentration) Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (Merging in to infinity).
This doesn’t mean that we can not go straight away to the practice of concentration and meditation, it means, that all these steps will have to happen before meditation is possible. It should be clear that meditation is something that will happen, when all conditions are suitable, which means that meditation is not something you do, is something that unfolds by itself. Till then we just practice concentration. Serenity, peace, love, harmony, equanimity, joy, is our natural state, the path is the removal of all that is disturbing peace, namely: the mistaken notion of who you are, the identification with the lower nature, the negative habit patterns, the endless desires and attachments, etc.. Starting a meditation practice is the beginning of a great journey of profound transformation, that will completely transform your physical, energetic, emotional, and mental existence. Or at least what you know it. Here begins the problem, we want our lives to be better, we want to have better relationships, we want our lives to be more meaningful, we want to be happy, but we do not want change. Anything but that. We think we are always correct and justified, that the problem lies in others, and that we have been unlucky in life, we feel like victims of a cosmic conspiracy ... Everything but accepting the idea that we need to change, we do not know Who we really are, we are not aware of our actions and their impact on the world around us, and that life as we know it, as we have lived it, is the result of our posture, and that it is here that change begins, and this is the beginning of the meditation process. Equip yourself with love, with compassion, with courage, with boldness, and prepare yourself for an epic, for your inner conquest, for the conquest of your Peace, the conquest of your Self, regaining your lost awareness of who you are. When you sit for meditation with total awareness about what you are really doing, then the process of the expansion consciousness accelerates, and within, you begin to see the anxieties, the repressed suppressed emotions, the pain, anger, hatred and jealousy, all sorts of physical, energetic, emotional and mental impurities, beginning to manifest themselves, and you just need to remain quiet, without reacting. For that you are given a meditation technique, and any technique will do, you should always practice the technique, it doesn’t matter what you are experiencing inside, if it’s pleasant or unpleasant, it doesn’t matter. And when you realize you are distracted, bring your concentration back to the technique; this is a exercise you have to do in beginning. Then it will become natural. Often you will want to get up, but keep still, and you will see a deep agony rising from within you, it’s just another part of the inner misconceptions, release it, let it go. After a long process of releasing all the accumulated misconceptions, the inner serenity will begin to assert itself, and the then begins the actual journey, the journey back to the Essence, the recovery of Our Cosmic Consciousness, The Merging in to Infinity. At the beginning it is important that you seek those who can help you, who have gone through this process; they will help you on the long run. After awakening your intuition, your inner guidance, then you can continue alone peacefully, with all the help from within. There is no other way f learning than by practice. Theory without practice is useless; and practice without theory will give you the real theory in the long run. Knowing about the subject without practice, or without a regular practice is useless, it doesn’t help anything. Give yourself an opportunity by regular meditation practice. Dive deep within your Self, Know Your Self, cultivate Serenity, Find Love, allow your Self and be happy.

Satyavan

Desires - The background of Relative Experience

Whatever you are experiencing, it is accordingly with what you desire, with what you search from world. There is no other reason for being here, beyond the satisfaction of the desires that you have accumulated so far. All this subjective reality serves this purpose. There is nothing more that holds you here, apart from your desires. We think that we have a great understanding about life, that we understand the Reality, however, we are limited by what we desire, by our wants, and our understanding of reality, reflects only our subjective experience. This subjective reality only happens in our mind. I see only what I can, according to what I Desire. Day after day we act on this play, we give it meaning, we experience the drama, comedy, tragedy, adventure, and romance, what an amazing actors we are.
There is no death, there is no birth, there are no others apart from Me, just one Absolute Serenity Exists, just an ocean of Pure Cosmic Consciousness, Full, Serene, Immortal, Perfect. The illusion of separation, the pursuit of wholeness, together with the identification with the body, propels us on this journey in search of bliss, erroneously through the sensory organs, from the ‘inside to the outside’.
Your body (the physical, energetic, emotional, mental instruments) is just an object in Your mind, it is a creation of Your mind, exists only in Your mind. All objects that you recognize other than yourself, besides yourself (father, mother, children, friends, homes, cars, money, etc.) are just objects in Your mind. And Your mind exists in yourself, the Self, and That Thou Art. Thus all undertakings in the quest for wholeness as something outside yourself are destined for failure, because there is nothing beyond Thee, Nothing will ever bring complete satisfaction, there will always be something missing, and frustration will always occur. We have learned that happiness is a state of continuous excitement that occurs after the contact between objects with our body, the objects beyond and outside of it. Nothing could be more delusive. This apparent contact between objects creates excitement, which we interpret as positive or negative excitement, according to the nature of the objects, i.e., according to the nature of the first object (your body), and to the nature of the other objects (apart from your body). Happiness is a state of absolute serenity, of absence of excitement, of fullness, the result of Self Realization, the only thing which is worth striving for.
In rational terms, excitement and serenity are opposite concepts, and, irritation, nervousness, elation, stimulation, agitation, are synonymous with excitement, and tranquility, purity, calmness, are synonymous with serenity. Noiselessness, quiet, quietness , silence, soundlessness, still, calm, calmness, peace, peacefulness, quiet, quietness, serenity, tranquility, satisfaction, perfection, are synonyms of the word: stillness. And beatitude, blessedness, Cheerfulness, felicity, gladness, happiness, joy, and joyfulness are synonyms of Bliss. Therefore do not deceive yourself with the sensory stimuli, with the contacts between objects, and seek fulfillment, satisfaction, contentment, perfection, and bliss in being who You Are, that ocean of Pure Cosmic Consciousness, Full, Serene, Immortal, Blissful, Perfect, ever free!
While you identify with the body and mind, you'll recognize objects other than yourself, and continue to generate greed and disgust, attraction and repulsion. Attraction and repulsion appear to be diametrically opposed, but in the light of a greater understanding, they are just states of excitement, a result of contact between the objects, a state completely opposed to the serenity and bliss we seek. Realize this Unity in Consciousness, by understanding the illusory nature of what you have experienced. Live your life with the perfect understanding, that what you are experiencing is the result of your past desires, and your present desires will keep on creating the future, ie, creating more experience, until you break the cycle, the illusion continues, and the emptiness remains.
The emptiness you feel inside is the absence of yourself, a result of this relative consciousness of individuality and separation from everything and everyone. This consciousness of separation creates friction and suffering. The Unity of Consciousness, is an Absolute Integrator it is the source of happiness and contentment. In absolute terms, nothing really ever happens, and in relative terms nothing really ever happens ‘apart from Thee’, everything is an expression of Thy Being. The objects (father, mother, children, friends, homes, cars, money, the conditions of your experience, etc.) are in You, are a part of You, are small expressions of Your Existence. Appreciate relativity as an expression of Your Love, of Your Being, of Yourself, relax, don’t take things to seriously, everything is for your enjoyment. Use your "time" in a constructive way, claim your Divine Cosmic status. The omnipresent, omnipotent, the Serenity, the Love, the Peace, the Wholeness, the Bliss, the SELF THAT THOU ART.

Peacefully,
Satyavan

Joy - The Expression of Being
Existence is one, just Timeless Serenity prevails, only the Supreme Being Exists, the Cosmic Ocean of Pure Consciousness, of Pure Harmony, of Absolute Plenitude, Serene, Infinite, Absolute, that I Am. The separation is illusory, it’s the result of the identification of this absolute principle, "Existence," with bodies with which it apparently expresses itself. Even in the relative existence is necessary to understand things in their true magnitude, there are no several separate bodies, but only one Great Body, apparently composed of several bodies. As little drops of water make up an ocean, similarly, small aggregates of matter in various states, make up this Great Body. To these small aggregates of matter we call Universes, Galaxies, Solar Systems, Planets, men, animals and plants, all of whom are made, animated by the Principle of One Pure and Infinite Cosmic Consciousness. This Great body vibrates in unison, this magnificent reality, we realize this vibration in all its manifestations. By the apparent contact between consciousness and matter, there is the transfer of characteristics from one to the other, so the notion of existence, appears isolated in a body, assuming it’s characteristics. This identification, which is apparently only in the individual, happens collectively and simultaneously in all the bodies from the most simple ones, to more complex ones. Being this body of man, one of the highest expressions of this same principle. Constantly there is an apparent movement in which consciousness compresses itself, becoming matter, and matter Expands again in to Consciousness, as the water turns into ice and then dissolves again in water. Neither the ice ceases to be water, so doesn’t matter ceases to be consciousness. As a molecule is recognized by his originality in the midst of so many others, so are all the bodies according to their characteristics superimposed on the Principle of Absolute Existence, and feal in accordance with this superimposition, I AM ... this! From the edge of unconsciousness, or the inability to go beyond the identification with the body, recognizing its true nature, to Super-Consciousness, or the realization of the Absolute Truth that I AM; it begins this tiny Great journey we all know as "Evolution". To the extent that consciousness will wake up to itself, it will recognize and integrate itself, gradually, step by step. As I get joy from the reunion of a long lost friend, in the same way, when I find Myself, in my heart pours Joy. The sadness and pain is the result of this illusion of separation. To the extent that the illusion disappears, joy is manifests. Joy is the natural state of a heart lightened by the infinite. Has you recognized, and rediscover yourself in all bodies and beyond them, thou shalt be flooded by this Joy. What a Wonder that I am, I'm Everywhere, I'm Perfect, each and every expression of Mine is wonderful, I'm see Myself in All Eyes, in all expressions, everywhere I find myself and I realize, nothing and no one existes besides Me . And you will understand that this is all for Your entertainment, so that you may enjoy your own love. And Love, Joy begins to sprout and flood your heart inside out, transforming you into Love and Happiness, merging you back on Yourself, Back To Serenity, to Infinite Bliss. If you do not feel this joy, if you can’t find it inside, then plant it every day in your heart, day after day, looking out as if you were looking in, seeing yourself in the eyes of others, in the wind, trees, searching; searching You will find! Existence is one, just Timeless Serenity prevails, only the Supreme Being Exists, the Cosmic Ocean of Pure Consciousness, Pure Harmony, Absolute Plenitude, Serene, Infinite, Absolute, that I Am.

Blissfully,
Satyavan

The Illusion

Yoga - The Way to Happiness Through A Perfect Understanding

Causes of Human Suffering ...
We all know what suffering is, day after day we are dealing with suffering in our lives. The pain ranges from mild discomfort to a deep agony, whether in the physical, the emotional or mental levels. We also know that suffering is relative, has to do directly with the person who experiences. The same experience has a different impact on different individuals according to their personal characteristics. Individuals living in the most extreme conditions, with difficult childhoods, with many hardships, which have experienced much pain, usually create more resistance to pain, becoming more tolerant to discomfort. So far it's all right, but then what are the causes of suffering, and how to eradicate it? Life experiences teach us little by little. Every day is a valuable lesson. We begin by understanding the physical level, and in a very simple way, the mechanics behind how to live a quiet life, serene, and satisfying, avoiding unnecessary suffering.
For example, when I sit on a chair and start to feel a little discomfort, immediately I adjust my posture, it’s a reflex, it happens, whether I realize it or not.
If I hurt my back by bending it, the natural reaction is to straighten the back, adjusting posture, thus undoing the cause of the discomfort, bringing harmony and well being again. If I keep the back rounded refusing me to adjust the posture, the discomfort will increase until the it becames agony. Likewise in the chair if do not adjust the posture, the discomfort will increase until it becomes agony, or until I adjust the posture. And if I change my seat while my posture is incorrect, I will still feel discomfort. If I eat more than I need, if I don’t eat foods that nourish, that promote longevity, that promote health, if I maintain food habits that are harmful to me, gradually, I begin to feel discomfort in the body until later is installed a framework of disease, the result of an incorrect posture, maintained for a long time. After that, and without correcting the posture, in this case a change of diet, the body being unable to regenerate due to lack of interruption of aggression will degenerate until the disintegration, what we know as the death of the physical body, whether or not we are aware of this process. Well this principle so simple that it sometimes happens automatically in our lives, which promotes this very small changes, like straightening my spine, getting away from the fire, the covering of the body protecting it from cold, a change of diet, a change of habits, is also the same mechanism that lies behind the major changes. For the change to be effective, a change of posture alone is not sufficient, we need to maintain the new position long enough until it becomes natural. In the physical level, someone who deformed his spine because of an incorrect posture, just straightening the spine will not be enough, you have to consciously maintain the new behavior until it becomes natural. During this process you will feel some discomfort due to physical constraints that the old attitude caused you, the uneasiness is more or less intense according to the intensity of conditioning. If this habit has been long maintained the discomfort is greater, if the habit is still new the discomfort will be less. The difference in the discomfort of postural misalignment, and the discomfort resulting from postural realignment, is that the first will generate more discomfort, and the second will end up with the discomfort, leading me to my natural state of harmony, tranquility, well-being, homeostasis.
On the physical level it seems simpler to understand, since identification with the physical body is very strong, so I get a clear understanding of it, when it comes to the emotional or mental body’s things tend to become complicated. However, the mechanics are the same, if by chance you are feeling some discomfort in the physical, emotional or mental, is a sign that there are changes that are necessary for the homeostatic state of harmony to get restored. Our nature is harmonious, serene, is quiet, is homeostatic, anything that disturbs that state is perceived as aggression. The definition of homeostasis: it is the property of an open system to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable condition, with balance. All organisms, unicellular and multicellular, exhibit homeostasis. A large number of ecological systems, biological and social systems are homeostatic, and if they do not succeed in reestablishing its balance, it can lead to disruption of the systems operations. So anything that disrupts this balance, this inner stillness, turns out to be experienced in some way that goes from a deep discomfort to agony in accordance with the nature of the individual, and his level of consciousness. This balance is unique for each individual, and each must find his own, increasing his level of understanding, conquering its peace and inner harmony.

Step by step dispelling the myths, it is necessary a better understanding of what promotes these self-aggression, this low self-esteem, this lack of self love, that is allowing me to continue to attack myself, knowing that I am suffering, preventing and sabotaging any attempt to change and to reestablish harmony. And there are many factors; starting with the idea that pleasure is happiness and that happiness lies outside ourselves, something that has to be gained, and that without it, it’ not worth living, and, according to our personal preferences, we sacrifice everything for this pleasure, since the physical health, relationships, moral values, respect for others, and society as a whole. We don’t even know for sure what this happiness is. Everything revolves around instant gratification, ignoring the consequences of such acts. The promise of immediate pleasure, obscures the conscience, making live in a mental slumber. We learn by experience that this kind of gratification, this pleasure is very brief and soon generates stress on the body, either in the physical, the emotional or mental, and that sooner or later will cause suffering. So if a tree is known by its fruit, also an action is recognized by its outcome. And that "pleasure" is nothing more than "suffering" masked, that seduce and deceive us, sometimes for a moment, a few months, a few years, sometimes for several lives, but never, never forever. Has long as we are a source of suffering, we will experience some form of suffering. Nobody generates suffering voluntarily, each one of us acts according to our level of consciousness, each one does the best he can with what he has. Thus it becomes important to awake to a greater reality, about life’s greater meaning. The great masters have left some guidelines for the journey to be the least painful as possible. They advised us to practice harmlessness towards all living beings in thought, word and deed, so that we could live without any no fear, without attacking and without being attacked in return; they taught us to practice the truth, so that the relationships could be a source of joy, trust and complicity; they taught us not to misappropriate what is not ours, be they objects, situations, and, or persons; they taught us to practice moderation, so that the sensory life could be appreciated, without generating attachment, and consequent suffering, and that freedom, serenity, and harmony resulting could be the basis for higher growth. And they taught us to live a simple life so that I would not become a slave of my comforts, my needs. What was supposed to ease my life, make it more comfortable, allowing more time to enjoy life, eventually enslave me, I have no time and no patience for me and for those around me, and that I love. Without discipline in my life, I lost track of my needs and I lived for the endless desires that invade the mind, always with the same promise of pleasure, most of the times this pleasure lasts so little that most of the times we can’t even notice it, and which is usually followed by restlessness, anxiety, frustration and pain. They taught us to content ourselves with what life brings to us, so that even if things did not go as we hoped for, we would not lose our peace of mind, after all this is our greatest treasure. They taught us not to create too many expectations, so that frustration couldn’t accrue for me and for others; they taught us to love and respect our beloved ones, so that they loved and respected us; they taught us to love others so that life could be more rewarding. But I do not understand, still deluded, helplessly suffering, generating more suffering, and the worse of all this, is to think that it is normal! Just because "everyone" lives like this, it doesn’t mean that it's normal ... The answers will not came until I start asking questions! But who am I anyway? Until now I recognize as the 'I': my body and my mind that are only parts of me, parts that are constantly changing, for better or for worse, am I just hat? I identify myself with my habits, characteristics that are the result of repetition, association, belief, culture, education that I have received, of where I live, and the people with whom I live, etc, am I just that? They told me I was born, I'll die, and that I have be married to be happy, I must have children, I must have a house or two, I need money, I need to have security, I need to have affection, I need be PERFECT, is it really like this? Thus I went to the world, because everyone goes, without questioning what I was told, without questioning who I really am, without questioning the Real Meaning and purpose of Life. Can it be different? It is said that the difference between animal and man lies in mans intelligence, and why is this difference unclaimed, we prefer to live as they do following the crowd? So if you think it is worth the trouble, stop, think, question, discern! It's more than a right is a duty, it is our Dharma. Leave the belief systems, dogmas, the concepts and preconceptions and investigate, go to the source! You have everything you need to investigate, everything is inside you! Who are you? You search for pleasure, love, happiness, can this be your true nature? They say the our being is love that we have within us all happiness, we just have to look for it within, is there any truth here? They say you are a Divine Being, is it possible? Are you really a special being, are you really FREE, wouldn’t that be amazing, imagine, being able to go around the world never looking back, having all this freedom, being free to cut with all dependencies, just being as You Are, without masks without fear. Is there something that really holds you apart from your ideas, your fears, your beliefs ... Think! Discern! You're free to do so! How wonderful, you are free! And you are capable! You have so many tools, so many aids, do not lose hope, believes and you will go forward claiming for a more loving existence.
May the Light guide you, may your heart be your master, May Love became the basis of your life! Go, Discover, Realize, and dont forget to love!

Peacefully,
Satyavan

Sadhana - The Path

The Journey step by step, towards the Divine
In this path of regaining Self awareness and Self-realization, we are faced with many obstacles that stand in the way. We seek this peace, this serenity, this spiritual elevation, but it seems so hard to gain anything more than a brief state of relaxation, soon to be interrupted by the agitation, the noise, the anxiety, etc. In the beginning we see the obstacles outside of us, in other people, environments, and circumstances. Gradually, has we expand our consciousness we realize that the obstacles are within us, in the form of negative habit patterns, desires, and attachments. We have created and crystallized a reality about what we are, what we want, where we go, without having the slightest idea of how and where it has all began! Now we will have to work hard to deconstruct. Habit patterns, fruits of continuous repetition of attraction and repulsion, grew and became strong, giving rise to the personality. The identification and attachment to this personality has given rise to the illusion of a separate existence, and thus all suffering came into being. To regain our lost state of Absolute Consciousness , Source of Peace, Love, Serenity, is the purpose of this long journey, and without the daily practice of Self awareness, it becomes just another dream. To maintain a constant practice of awareness (sadhana), where the physical, energetic, and mental bodies get purified, gradually uplifting the consciousness, it takes a lot of determination, discipline, perseverance, Surrender, and love for your Self. The Sadhanas are many, consisting of a self-training, towards a self-mastery, which gradually and persistently asserts the divine nature, cultivating the divine qualities in the personality, undoing the ilusion. Keeping a sadhana is what an aspiring yogi needs to do, the enfoldment of the divine will be a natural consequence of is Sadhana. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner, a teacher, or a yoga master, as long as you live in viyoga (separation), forgeting the sadhana, you forget the most important. Never forget your birth right of Claiming your light, daily promote your ascent towards the Divine. The sadhana is the most important, is the road to yoga (union) of individual consciousness with the Supreme Consciousness. The greatest Realization that, one can aspire. Share your difficulties, and together we will find new ways to continue…
